Where This Matcha Comes From
This matcha is grown in Jingshan and Wuyi, two of China’s most historically significant matcha regions. Jingshan Mountain is recognised as the “Original Source of Chinese Matcha,” while Wuyi holds the national title of “Hometown of Organic Matcha in China.”
Our partner tea growers follow the national matcha standard GB/T34778-2017, using traditional shading systems and steaming methods similar to classical Japanese matcha production. The tencha is produced from cultivars such as Jiukeng, Zhongcha 108, Yabukita and Ginshuang, chosen for their stable colour, mild flavour and excellent suitability for latte-style beverages and manufacturing applications.
Each batch undergoes laboratory testing for pesticides, heavy metals and microbiological safety before being transported to our EU production facility for blending, packing and full European quality control.
